Read more...Altrincham Football Club made history last weekend by becoming the first football team to wear an LGBT+ themed football kit for a competitive football match in support of footballs fight against homophobia and transphobia. Alrincham are a non-league football team and they hope to have inspired the much larger professional football teams to follow this trend. This awareness campaign is very timely with LGBT+ awareness month taking place.
Evening Express have published an article surrounding the football match (To access the article, Click Here) and further information about promoting LGBT+ equality in sport, please visit the Pride Sports Website. If any person experiences and/or witness LGBT+ hate crime, please report the incident via the reporthatenow.com website or contact EQUIP on 01788 863117 or advice@equipequality.org.uk.
